Minnesota defensive back Coney Durr isn’t holding back when it comes to Buckeyes cornerback Shaun Wade’s latest performance.

When Wade got beat time after time in Monday’s National Championship game, it prompted Durr to tweet this out:

Wade has been the corner that was tasked to guard Alabama’s DeVonta Smith for most of the night but it hasn’t gone well. He has 12 receptions for 215 yards and three touchdowns after Wade said last week he wanted to go up against him.

Coming into this game, Wade was having a strong season for the Buckeyes as he was up to 29 total tackles (21 solo). He also had two interceptions (one of them being a pick-six) and three passes defended.

For Durr, he had a solid season himself but it wasn’t as good as Wade’s. Durr had 24 total tackles (22 solo) with one interception and five passes defended in six games for the Golden Gophers.
