Minnesota escaped non-conference play with an undefeated record, but nothing was easy for the Gophers.

PJ Fleck and company notched a 3-0 record to start the season with every win coming in a one-possession game. The Gophers won the three games by a combined total of 13 points with a seven-point win over South Dakota State the biggest victory in that stretch.
