A Minnesota defensive tackle has decided to finish his college football career elsewhere.

On Wednesday afternoon, Malcolm Robinson took to Twitter to announce that he was entering his name in the NCAA transfer portal to explore other opportunities. In his note, Robinson says that he graduated with a degree in Human Resources, meaning he will be immediately eligible at his next destination.

“I am proud to say that I am graduating with a Human Resources Bachelors and Communications Minor this Fall from an amazing institution and will become a graduate transfer,” Robinson wrote. “I have entered my name in the NCAA Transfer Portal to start looking for my next opportunity.”

Robinson was a member of P.J. Fleck’s first recruiting class at Minnesota in 2017. During the course of his three seasons with the Gophers, the lineman played in just one game — appearing against Maryland in 2019.

At his next destination, Robinson will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
