The Gophers have received a commitment from a talented in-state defensive lineman.

Eden Prairie native and 3-star recruit Mo Saine committed to the Gophers on Friday, announcing the commitment on Twitter.

Here’s Saine’s announcement:

Saine becomes the third commitment already this week for Minnesota, joining the Gophers as the third DL in the 2024 class. Saine joins fellow in-state recruit Jide Abasiri and North Dakota’s Riley Sunram on the defensive line.

Saine is joining the Gophers over multiple offers from schools including Wisconsin, Missouri, and Iowa. Saine committed to the Gophers shortly after receiving a scholarship offer on April 6.

The DL is the 10th player committed to Minnesota already this season. Those commitments rank the Gophers fourth in the B1G, and 16th nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Saine is a 3-star recruit, and is ranked ranked as the No. 5 overall recruit in Minnesota and the 75th-best defensive lineman in the 2024 class.
