Minnesota is expected to hire Winston DeLattiboudere as the program’s next defensive line coach, per On3.

This will be DeLattiboudere’s return to Minnesota as he was a former defensive lineman for the Golden Gophers from 2015 to 2019. DeLattiboudere, who is 24 years old, will be replacing Brick Haley as Minnesota’s defensive line coach. Haley left Minnesota for Purdue this week.

When his playing career at Minnesota finished in 2019, DeLattiboudere became a graduate assistant at Charlotte for the 2020 season. After that season, he moved on to Oregon as a graduate assistant for 2021.

In 2022, DeLattiboudere became Akron’s defensive line coach under Akron head coach Joe Moorhead. Moorhead was previously Oregon’s offensive coordinator in 2021 and he worked with DeLattiboudere during that season. DeLattiboudere served as Akron’s defensive line coach for this season.

After 1 season at Akron, DeLattiboudere decided to return to his former program, Minnesota, for the 2023 season. He will be coaching the same group of players he was once a part of at Minnesota. When DeLattiboudere played at Minnesota, he finished his time with 51 games played, 5 sacks, 83 tackles, and 13.5 tackles for loss.

In 2019, DeLattiboudere started all 13 games for the Golden Gophers and recorded 30 tackles. Minnesota will be bringing in someone who was familiar with the program and Minnesota’s defensive line.

Minnesota went 9-4 in 2022.
