Fans in Minneapolis are soaking up the win over Penn State in a big way!

Saturday’s win over Penn State was a big one for P.J. Fleck and Minnesota. After entering the game ranked No. 17 by the College Football Playoff Committee, the Gophers came out hot against the Nittany Lions.

Minnesota raced out to 24 first-half points behind a dynamic performance from QB Tanner Morgan. He guided the offense in a big way while the Gopher defense forced Penn State QB Sean Clifford into three interceptions with the final one sealing the game.

The win over the No. 4 ranked team in the country keeps Minnesota undefeated, but it is also historically significant for the Gophers. It is the first win over a top-10 team by the program since 2000. Beyond that, it is the first win over a top-10 team at home since 1977!
