Minnesota landed a tight-end prospect Tuesday evening, this time flipping a player in the process.

The TE this time is Nathan Jones, a 6-foot-5, 240 lbs. prospect out of Brock, Texas. Jones had committed to Abilene Christian in August, but he flipped shortly after Minnesota came with an offer.

“I can’t say enough about ACU! I love the coaches and the players there,” wrote Jones on Twitter, “they have all treated me first class!

“Coach Fleck and Minnesota Football has given me an opportunity that I can’t pass up! With that being said…I am proud to say I am committing to the University of Minnesota!”

Jones has gone unrated by the industry-generated composite rankings. 247 Sports lists Jones as a 3-star recruit. Abilene Christian and Vanderbilt were Jones’  only offers coming out of the summer, but he picked up offers from UTSA and Minnesota in the fall.
