Minnesota football lands in top 5 for talented in-state Edge in class of 2024

Minnesota cracked the top 5 for Class of 2024 edge rusher Wyatt Gilmore.

Gilmore, a 3/4-star prospect out of Minnesota, announced his list of finalists on Sunday afternoon. In addition to the Golden Gophers, he’s also considering Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon and Kansas State.

He made his announcement via Twitter Sunday evening:

Different recruiting sites rank Gilmore differently. The 6-4, 240 pound edge rusher is rated as a 4-star prospect by 247Sports, listed as the No. 20 edge rusher and No. 1 player out of Minnesota. he’s rated as a 3-star according to 247Sports’ composite rankings, which takes into account his ratings across the industry.

Gilmore took an unofficial visit to Minnesota in April and is set to enter his final season at Rogers Senior high school in Rogers, Minnesota.
