Minnesota is one of several teams that has reached out to former North Texas guard Tylor Perry, according to a report.

Perry is coming off of a breakout season with UNT where he was named MVP of the NIT. He averaged 20.6 points per game for the Mean Green during their run in the NIT.

According to the Portal Report, here’s the list of teams who have reached out to Perry so far:

Perry was also named the Conference-USA Player of the Year. For the season, he averaged 17.3 points and 2.1 assists per game. He also made 41.3% of his 3-point tries on the season.

He would be a major addition for a Minnesota team that lacked high-level shooting in 2023. The Gophers’ offense ranked No. 235 nationally in offensive efficiency, per KenPom.

Minnesota is hoping to take a big step forward in 2023-24. Last season, the Gophers finished the season with a 9-22 record — their worst mark since 2016. Minnesota has missed the NCAA Tournament in 4 straight seasons.
