Minnesota has its quarterback for the class of 2024.

The Gophers earned a commitment from 3-star prospect Aaron Philo on Thursday afternoon.

Here’s his announcement:

“I would like to thank coach Fleck, coach Harbaugh and the entire Minnesota staff for recruiting me and giving me the opportunity to play this game at a high level,” he wrote.

He chose Minnesota over offers from programs like Coastal Carolina, Central Florida and Georgia Tech, amongst others. Philo is from Bogart, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds.

Philo is currently ranked as the No. 792 overall player in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also ranked as the No. 59 quarterback and the No. 57 player from the state of Georgia.

Minnesota now has 4 commitments in the class of 2024. The group currently ranks No. 23 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
