The college football offseason brings with it a wave of transfer portal decisions. Another one came from Minnesota’s program Wednesday evening.

The decision came from JaQwondis Burns, a linebacker who played his high school ball for IMG Academy. Burn announced his decision for the portal on Twitter:

“I want to thank The University Of Minnesota, the coaching staff and my teammates,” explained Burns. “I have entered the transfer portal!”

Burns did not see much action with the Gophers. He did play vs. Purdue and posted 3 tackles, a TFL, and a sack against the Boilermakers.

Burns was a 3-star prospect via the class of 2020. He had a number of Power 5 offers coming out of high school before landing at Minnesota.
