It’s that time of the year when many teams are heading to play in their respective bowl games.

Some teams, of course, don’t get to play in the extra game. For Minnesota, however, the 6-6 2018 campaign proved to be good enough. The Golden Gophers were 5-6 going into the final week of the season and then beat Wisconsin 37-15 to become bowl eligible.

On Thursday, it was announced that Minnesota left tackle Donnell Greene will be skipping the Quick Lane Bowl. The mammoth senior offensive lineman signed an agent and will no longer to be able to play college football. Greene was named all-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2018.

The last Minnesota offensive lineman to be drafted was in 2006, when Mark Setterstrom and Greg Eslinger were selected.
