The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Brown is regarded as a top 10 player from Ohio by national recruiting outlets. Brown selected Minnesota over offers from Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan, Maryland and Purdue, according to 247Sports.
Brown caught 40 passes for 829 yards and nine touchdowns during his sophomore season of high school. Brown produced a 74-yard touchdown in the 2021 season opener. Brown is a multi-sport athlete who also runs track.
Brown is the younger brother of Minnesota receiver Mike Brown-Stephens.
“I would also like to thank my brother, my dawg, right hand man whatever, he’s helped me tremendously through the process, pushed me harder in ways that I thought I could never surpass,” Brown said on Twitter about his brother.
