The transfer portal has gotten what feels like a million transfers in the last few hours on this Monday after Thanksgiving. The B1G has been hammered by people transferring out of their programs.

Minnesota is the latest school to have a player enter the transfer portal. Backup QB Zack Annexstad has entered the transfer portal after 4 seasons with the Golden Gophers.

Annexstad won the job back in 2018 as a walk-on freshman in head coach P.J. Fleck’s second season with the team. Annexstad got hurt that season, and that is when QB Tanner Morgan replaced him and has not given up the job since.

In 2018 Annexstad was 97-of-187 for a 51.9% completion rate, throwing for 1,277, 9 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He has played sparingly over the past 3 seasons.

The transfer portal will keep spinning this off-season; it will be intriguing to see where all of these B1G players land.

Minnesota finished the season on a high note as they beat arch-rival No. 14 Wisconsin 23-13 to keep them out of the B1G Championship Game. The Golden Gophers finished the season 8-4 and 6-3 in B1G play. The Gophers now await their bowl destination.
