Minnesota got a big win at home vs. Maryland with a 34-16 score. Offensively, Minnesota accounted for a total of 451 yards with 326 of them coming from the rushing game.

While the rushing offense was dominant, there were some personal milestones from players in the passing game. With this game against Maryland, Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan has surpassed 7,000 career passing yards.

In his four years at Minnesota, Morgan has now passed for 7,071 career total yards. Morgan is fourth all-time in career passing yards in the program. He is only 376 yards away from surpassing Bryan Cupito for second-most all-time in career passing yards at Minnesota.

Morgan threw for 8-of-12 for 125 yards in Minnesota’s conservative win over Maryland. He was not needed for much with the 3-headed approach out of the Gophers backfield.

A couple of other Gopher players had significant moments from Saturday’s win. Wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell hauled in his 100th career reception. True freshman Mar’Keise Irving also punched in the first TD of his career.
