Mohamed Ibrahim is arguably the most important player to Minnesota’s season this year, and he had to be helped off the field with what appeared to be a leg injury.

In the third quarter against Ohio State, Ibrahim took a handoff and fought through a would-be tackler trying to get to the open field. Ibrahim was able to get through the attempted tackle, but something happened when he planted his left foot to head upfield.

Something in the lower portion of Ibrahim’s left leg visibly appeared to pop and he went down without further contact. He tried to walk off the field under his own power but eventually went down to the turf and was later helped off the field.

No update has been provided, but this is a scary sight:

Before leaving the field, Ibrahim had carried the ball 30 times for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns.
