Mohamed Ibrahim is having an impressive junior season, and he was named a semifinalist for one of the biggest wards in college football.

Despite getting to play in just five games this season, Ibrahim has rushed for 817 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has two games with 200+ yards rushing and is averaging 5.3 yards per carry despite carrying the ball 155 times in 2020.

Unfortunately, Ibrahim and the Gophers missed two games or that total would be even higher. He will get a chance to put together a big game against Nebraska this weekend, but it was the award nomination that is the story of the week.

Ibrahim was unveiled as one of 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award, an award given annually to the premier running back in the nation. You can see all the semifinalists in the release tweeted below:

Hopefully Ibrahim is able to make the cut when the award is narrowed down to a list of three finalists.
