The new Minnesota Gophers uniforms for 2018 are just sick looking.
And, that’s sick in a good way.
So, which ones will P.J. Fleck’s team be repping in Week 1 against New Mexico State? Well, the decision didn’t exactly come down to Minnesota’s choice:
#Gophers will open season tomorrow at home in white jerseys to accommodate New Mexico State, as the Aggies white road uniforms have not arrived yet.

So much for New Mexico State getting to wear its white uniforms. The only uniforms they actually possess at the moment are dark ones.
For the rest of the Gophers’ season, they shouldn’t be wearing white while playing at home. The Big Ten approved the one-time change to start the year.
Game time is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday at TCF Bank Stadium. The Gophers will be at home against Fresno State in Week 2 and Miami (OH) in Week 3 as well.
In 2017, Minnesota finished with a 5-7 overall record, while New Mexico State owned a 7-6 record. The Aggies have also already begun their 2018 season, which started with a 29-7 loss at home against Wyoming.
