Minnesota TE opts for transfer portal after 2 seasons with Gophers
Minnesota has already had quarterback Zack Annexstad hit the transfer portal on Monday. Now it looks like another offensive weapon will be leaving as well.
Tight end Austin Henderson will be heading out the door after 2 seasons under P.J. Fleck at Minnesota. He only played one game for Minnesota, which is most likely the reason he chose to transfer. He was a 3-star recruit out of Ensworth High School in Nashville, Tennessee per Rivals.com.

The Minnesota TE room is now just Brevyn Spann-Ford, Nnamdi Adim-Madumere, and Jameson Geers after losing Henderson to the transfer portal and with Ko Kieft and Bryce Witham graduating.
This makes Henderson the 7th player to transfer from the Golden Gophers. With his 6-foot-5, 250-pound frame, it’ll be interesting to see where he could end up next.
