Minnesota to honor late OL Nick Connelly with helmet sticker, wristbands
On Thursday, Minnesota announced that former OL Nick Connelly — who was the team’s starting right tackle in 2017 — lost his battle with cancer.
Connelly had retired later on in 2017 due to concussions and head injuries. Soon after the university made the announcement, a press release came out that said the team will be honoring Connelly by wearing a helmet sticker and wristbands.
