Minnesota is going with a special uniform combination in Week 2. The Golden Gophers will be sporting their “dark mode” threads against Eastern Michigan.

The news was posted on social media Thursday ahead of the game. The uniform was teased with a video the helmet the team will be wearing.

Saturday will be the first time that Minnesota has played Eastern Michigan, but P.J. Fleck is very familiar with the Eagles. Fleck played the Eagles often while he was the head coach of Western Michigan.

Minnesota had an exciting end to its season opener against Nebraska. Dragan Kesich knocked home the game-winning field goal as time expired to give the Golden Gophers a 13-10 win.

Fans may not want this next game to be as close. The Golden Gophers happened to be 20.5 point favorites in the matchup with Eastern Michigan.

Kickoff from Huntingdon Bank Stadium will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on B1G Network.
