Minnesota unveils gameday threads for Axe Game vs Wisconsin
All eyes are currently on Indianapolis, but the focus of the Gophers is going to be in Madison on Saturday afternoon.
After initially getting canceled earlier in the season, Minnesota and Wisconsin are getting their annual Border Battle rivalry in during the B1G’s Champions Week schedule. They will follow the B1G Championship Game with bragging rights and the Axe up for grabs in the contest.
For the Gophers, they started the season with back-to-back losses but have gone 3-1 since that start. Star running back Mohamed Ibrahim has been a big reason for that resurgence.
Ibrahim has rushed for 925 yards and has a serious shot at a 1,000-yard season despite Saturday being just the seventh game of the season for Minnesota. He also has 15 touchdowns on the year.
Before Saturday’s game time, Minnesota unveiled the uniform combination for the game against the Badgers. The Gophers will be rolling out with white uniforms and maroon pants to go with their maroon helmet featuring the white block “M”
