Minnesota WR Tyler Johnson sets yet another school record in Outback Bowl thanks to absurd TD catch
Minnesota has had a stellar 2019 season for multiple reasons.
One has absolutely been because of the dynamic pass-catchers it possesses. One of those studs is Tyler Johnson. The Golden Gophers are competing in the Outback Bowl against Auburn on ESPN Wednesday afternoon and Johnson has made school history once already in the first half.

Johnson had set the career receiving record at Minnesota early in the first half, passing Eric Decker. Later on in the first half, Johnson had a ridiculous catch in the back of the end zone that had to be reviewed.
The play stood as it was called on the field, a touchdown —

With that touchdown catch, Johnson passed Ron Johnson for the most receiving TDs in Golden Gopher history:
WHAT DID YOU JUST DO @T_muhneyy10!?!?
A #SCtop10 catch for another school record! That makes it 32 in his career moving past @3RonJohnson for sole possession of first. #OutbackBowl pic.twitter.com/1XTCXV9ABr

Again, Johnson has proven to be a next-level talent at wide receiver throughout his career. This final game, against Auburn, is just the icing on the cake.
