Minnesota's Daniel Oturu torched Michigan's defense through 1st half
It’s the Daniel Oturu show in Minneapolis today.
Minnesota is hosting No. 19 Michigan at Williams Arena on Sunday, and the Gophers trail the Wolverines 31-30 through the first 20 minutes of the game. A huge reason why Minnesota is only down a point is because of Oturu’s dominant performance.
Oturu finished the first half with 20 points, knocking down 9-of-12 shots from the floor and one of his two attempts from the 3-point line. He also grabbed four rebounds.
Michigan’s defense had absolutely no answer for Oturu in the first half, but was still able score enough to get the one-point advantage at the end of the half. Jon Teske and Franz Wagner led the Wolverines in scoring with seven points each.
This season, Oturu is averaging a double-double with 19.3 points and 12.3 rebounds while knocking down almost 62 percent of his field goal attempts.
Another big half from Oturu, and the Gophers have a great chance to get the upset at Williams Arena.
