Mohamed Ibrahim had a big game for Minnesota as the Golden Gophers dominated Rutgers 31-0 in Week 9. While Ibrahim was a force on the field, the top story from Ibrahim’s point of view is eating Gushers on the sidelines.

In the press conference after the game Ibrahim had this to say about his snack:

“That’s my go-to snack in games with Gushers, and sometimes you see me with the coconut water.”

It is not uncommon for running backs to have a snack on the sidelines during games. Former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was shown eating skittles multiple times on the sidelines of games for an extra boost.

Ibrahim rushed for 159 yards and 3 touchdowns on 36 carries in the win over Rutgers. He is on pace to have his best collegiate season yet for Minnesota as he has rushed for 955 yards and 13 touchdowns on 170 carries in 7 games this season.

He has rushed for 3,958 yards and 46 touchdowns on 717 carries in his 5 seasons at Minnesota.
