Mohamed Ibrahim out of starting lineup vs. Purdue
Mohamed Ibrahim was not seen in the starting lineup against Purdue. The Minnesota RB apparently suffered a left ankle injury against Michigan State per Andy Greder of the Pioneer Press.
Ibrahim is coming off of a record-setting performance against the Spartans. He broke Darrell Thompson’s career record for rushing touchdowns. Ibrahim finished the game with 103 yards rushing.
On the season, Ibrahim has 567 yards rushing and 8 touchdowns. Ibrahim has the second-most rushing yards in the country this season behind Illinois’ Chase Brown (604).
Trey Potts will be starting for the Golden Gophers, with Bryce Willliams as the third-down running back.
The Golden Gophers are 4-0 this season after wins over New Mexico State, Western Illinois, Colorado, and Michigan State.
The Purdue-Minnesota game is currently being played on ESPN2.
