Minnesota running back Mohamed Ibrahim has accepted an invitation to the East/West Shrine game, it was announced Monday afternoon. The game will be played on Feb. 2, 2023, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Ibrahim finished fourth in the nation in rushing with 1594 yards and 19 touchdowns. He also averaged 144 yards per game.

The 19 touchdowns were tied for second in the country. Ibrahim was also named First Team All-Big Ten by the coaches and the media and was a semifinalist for the 2022 Comeback Player of the Year Award.

Ibrahim was also a second-team All-American and one of the most prolific rushers in the school’s history rushing for almost 5,000 yards in his career as a Gopher which ranks second.

There is no doubt that Ibrahim will be a highly-ranked draft pick in next year’s NFL Draft and most likely will be a No. 1 draft choice. it’s just a question of where he lands in the draft. Whoever lands him, will get one heck of a player.
