We’re in the early stages of the college football season right now.

We’re four weeks in and the meat of the schedule is around the corner. For many, Big Ten play begins this week. For Minnesota, the Golden Gophers had a bye in Week 4, but for Saturday, Sept. 28, the team will begin its B1G schedule with a game at Purdue.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN2.

But prior to the game actually taking place, coach P.J. Fleck wanted to do something fun with his players before getting into the grind of a typical game week. What did they do?

The team went to cheer on the Minnesota Vikings, as the Vikings took on the Oakland Raiders and won 34-14:

Of course, the Golden Gophers had an “ELITE” time cheering on the Vikings, as that word is commonly used by Fleck. Again, a little downtime and some fun can always do a team some good.

The Gophers certainly got to do that this past weekend.
