Pintstripe Bowl features lawnmower DJ rocking on sidelines
Sponsors will do anything for their brand recognized on the biggest stage. At the Bad Boys Mowers Pinstripe Bowl, the brand is getting creative with its publicity design.
Spotted on the sidelines of Yankee Stadium at the Pinstripe Bowl was an upscale lawn mower patrolling the grass. Sure, grass and mowers would make sense on most occasions, but this isn’t your average mom and pop-type mower for trimming the turf on weekends.
Instead, the lawn mower had been turned into a state-of-the-art sound system, equipped with a DJ blaring tunes on the sidelines. While the matchup between Minnesota and Syracuse was underway, hits from D.J. Jay Jung were here to stay.

One has to wonder what type of music would be blasting during bowl season. Was Jung blaring out some holiday music to keep fans in the Christmas spirit? Maybe he was interested in playing both fight songs of the two schools to keep the sidelines invested in the on-field action.
Then again, Jung is a DJ. You can take the disc jockey out of the club, but you can’t take the trap music and bars away from the music mixologist. And in the concrete jungle, best believe Jung made the most of his time playing the hits on arguably the most intriguing setups one will see in 2022.
Minnesota defeated Syracuse 28-20 to finish 9-4 in 2022.
