Saturday’s game between Nebraska and Minnesota came down to the wire with the Gophers using a safety and late touchdown to hold off the Huskers.

The win for Minnesota pushes the team closer to bowl eligibility at 4-2 on the year and a manageable schedule moving forward. Bryce Williams – the third starting RB of the year for Minnesota – led the way with 127 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

For Nebraska, Adrian Martinez struggled at times while going 18-for-33 passing the ball. He did account for 241 yards through the air and a touchdown but also took the safety in the fourth quarter.

After the game was over, P.J. Fleck met Martinez on the field. Though we do not have audio of the exchange, it sure looks like Fleck was doing his best to encourage a young player after a hard-fought game from both sides.
