P.J. Fleck set a return date for WR Dylan Wright on Monday. Wright missed the Penn State game due to a disciplinary issue.

Fleck said that he expects Wright to be back for Saturday’s game against Rutgers, according to Pioneer Press’ Andy Greder. Wright has 112 yards receiving with 1 touchdown on the year. Wright has appeared in 6 games for the Golden Gophers this season.

Wright transferred to Minnesota in January of 2021 after spending the majority of his college career at Texas A&M. In his 18 games played in a Minnesota uniform he has 477 yards receiving with 3 touchdowns.

It looks like Wright wouldn’t have made too much of a difference against Penn State. Minnesota lost 45-17 without starting QB Tanner Morgan. Minnesota was down 17-10 at halftime before Penn State scored 21-straight points in the third quarter.

We’ll see how Wright plays in his return against Rutgers at 2:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
