Former Minnesota wide receiver Rashod Bateman is getting some big respect from Madden 22.

On Monday, Madden released some of its rookie wide receiver ratings for its latest edition. Bateman was one of the highest-rated of the group, earning a 72 overall. That was tied for fifth-highest among all rookie wide receivers.

Bateman was the No. 27 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, selected by the Baltimore Ravens.

Bateman had a tremendous career with the Golden Gophers. In three seasons, he piled up 2,395 yards an 19 touchdowns on 147 receptions.

Last year, Bateman totaled 472 yards and 2 touchdowns on 36 catches in just five games. He opted out of the remainder of the 2020 campaign after the first five contests.

Bateman joins a Ravens offense that is already incredibly explosive. It’s going to be fun to see what kind of role the former Gopher carves out for himself in Baltimore.
