Facing the Purdue Boilermakers in a B1G West showdown at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Minnesota Golden Gophers sophomore wide receiver Rashod Bateman has had a day to remember.

Catching six passes for 177 yards and two scores – as of 7:18 remaining in the game – his second score gave the Gophers a 38-17 lead late in the third quarter.

Executing a beautiful double move and receiving a good ball from redshirt sophomore quarterback Tanner Morgan, the Big Ten Network provided video of the score:

With Saturday’s performance, Bateman has now eclipsed 105 yards receiving in three of Minnesota’s four games this season. His three-catch, 52-yard performance vs. Georgia Southern on September 14 was the only game in which he failed to record 100 yards.

Also his third career game with two touchdown receptions, Bateman’s six catches are one shy of matching his career-high.

Looking to improve to 4-0, the Gophers hold a 38-24 lead over the Boilermakers with roughly six minutes remaining. The action can be seen on ESPN2.
