Rashod Bateman looked like an NFL receiver during his time at Minnesota. Now, he has a chance to show off his skills at the next level after being selected in the first round by the Baltimore Ravens.

Bateman has already shined in his short time with Baltimore during rookie camp. This week, the Ravens released a brief highlight reel showing off what the receiver will bring to the field for the 2021 season.

The former Gopher is joining an already-explosive offense in Baltimore, so he’ll have to work for a spot on the field. But he’s also ready to take advantage of the opportunity.

In three seasons at Minnesota, Bateman caught 147 passes for 2,395 yards and 19 touchdowns. He was one of the top receivers in the B1G during his career and was a key piece of a Gophers team that finished with an 11-2 mark in 2019.

Last season, after initially opting out, Bateman played in 5 games and had 472 yards and 2 touchdown catches on 36 receptions. His performance in college and during pro day earned him a first-round selection during the 2021 NFL Draft.

It’ll be interesting to see what role Bateman plays for the Ravens in the upcoming season.
