Former Minnesota quarterback Demry Croft is facing serious charges following an incident that occurred in December in Nashville, according to a report.

FOX Nashville is reporting that Croft was arrested and charged with six counts of rape and two counts of sexual battery. The alleged crimes took place in December 2018. Details of the crimes were not available at the time.

Croft has already bonded out of jail following his arrest.

Croft was a member of the Gophers’ 2017 football team and played quarterback throughout the year in P.J. Fleck’s first season in Minnesota. He also played for the team in 2015.

In 2017, Croft threw for 674 yards and four touchdowns with seven interceptions. He also rushed for 311 yards and four touchdowns for the Gophers.

Tennessee State is aware of the arrest and charges facing Croft. It is awaiting to gather more information on the situation.
