Former Minnesota forward Brandon Johnson has reportedly landed with a new program.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports is reporting that Johnson has committed to DePaul. The former Gopher forward was one of multiple players from last year’s roster to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal since the conclusion of the 2020-21 season. The coaching change from Richard Pitino to Ben Johnson resulted in multiple players from Minnesota exploring their options.

Johnson spent just one season with the Golden Gophers, transferring in from Western Michigan. He has one year of eligibility remaining to use at DePaul.

In his lone season at Minnesota, Johnson started in 24 games and played in 28. He averaged 8.9 points and 6.3 rebounds while shooting over 46% from the floor.

Johnson has played in 121 career games at the college level. He’s averaging 10.4 points and 6.4 boards per contest over his four seasons.
