Report: Gophers find new defensive assistant coach
Minnesota has found its next defensive assistant coach, according to multiple reports.
Bruce Feldman of The Athletic reported on Sunday that Oregon defensive analyst Rod Chance is expected to become the new cornerbacks coach on P.J. Fleck’s staff at Minnesota. He was previously the defensive coordinator at Southern Utah at the FCS level.
Though Feldman reported that Chance will be the cornerbacks coach, his title has not yet ben determined, according to the Pioneer Press.

Chance is expected to replace Jahmile Addae, who was previously the secondary coach with the Gophers. He left to join Neal Brown’s staff at West Virginia last week.
Thanks to his help as defensive coordinator, Southern Utah won the Big Sky title in 2017.
Chance has also had a stop at Vanderbilt prior to arriving at Minnesota.
