Senior OL sets plans for Minnesota's bowl game, NFL Draft
A key piece of Minnesota’s offensive line announced his plans for the Gophers bowl game and the NFL Draft.
Blaise Andries, a 5th-year senior offensive lineman, revealed Sunday evening that he will be declaring for the NFL Draft. However, Andries will wait until after the bowl game to officially declare.
“I chose to stay home at Minnesota because I believe we could change the perception of this team to the state and the nation,” wrote Andries on Twitter. “This process was started and will continue with the leadership of this team, athletic department, and university…with that being said, I will be declaring for the NFL Draft after the bowl game.”

Andries was named a first-team All-B1G performer by the media in 2021 and a third-team All-B1G member by the coaches. He was named to the second-team All-B1G by the AP in 2021 and was a 4-time Academic All-B1G recipient.
Andries originally committed to the Gophers as a member of the 2017 recruiting class. Now, he’ll suit up one more time in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
