Social media reacts to Minnesota WR Rashod Bateman's decision to opt out of CFB season
Big news came out of Minnesota on Tuesday morning, as Gophers star wide receiver Rashod Bateman announced that he will opt out of the 2020 college football season. Instead, he will begin pursuing his career at the NFL level.
Bateman is not the first player in the B1G to make that announcement, but he might be the biggest name at this point. He was considered one of the top receivers in the conference, and the country, heading into the 2020 season. He finished his sophomore season in 2019 with 1,219 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Minnesota finished 11-2.
