Antoine Winfield Jr. may be a rookie in the NFL, but he plays, and taunts, like a seasoned veteran. Sunday night, after Tampa Bay had locked up a Super Bowl victory over Kansas City, the former Minnesota star couldn’t wait to get sweet revenge on Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

During the regular season, Hill flashed a peace sign at Winfield and back-flipped into the end zone after the receiver beat the safety on a deep touchdown pass, helping lead the Chiefs to a 27-24 win over the Bucs. Hill had Tampa Bay’s number that day, totaling 13 catches for 269 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Sunday night was different. Winfield got the better end of Hill in Super Bowl LV, as the star receiver had just 73 yards on 7 receptions and Tampa Bay cruised to a 31-9 win to claim a title. Near the end of the game, with the Bucs securing the win, Winfield couldn’t wait to get back at Hill.

That’s right, Winfield flipped the peace sign right back at Hill. And it probably wasn’t the only thing exchanged between the two Sunday night.

After the game, Winfield was asked about why he taunted the receiver after the game. The rookie defensive back didn’t back down and said it was something he had to do:

Winfield didn’t just talk on Sunday. The rookie produced a big game to help the Buccaneers shut down the Chiefs’ explosive offense. He totaled 6 tackles, 2 pass break-ups and an interception in the victory.

Based off his rookie performance, Winfield is in for a great career in the NFL. It would probably be wise for receivers to remember to not taunt the former Golden Gopher in the future.
