Tanner Morgan sets new Minnesota record in Gophers' victory over Indiana
Minnesota has had a rich history of impact players and great moments. Senior quarterback Tanner Morgan is now a part of Minnesota history as the program’s winningest quarterback.
On Saturday, Minnesota went on the road to defeat Indiana 35-14 to get to an overall record of 7-4 (5-3 in B1G play). Morgan has earned his 25th win as the starting quarterback for Minnesota, the most in program history.
In the win over Indiana, Morgan threw for 14-of-20 completions for 196 yards, two touchdowns, and a QBR of 96.5.

Morgan has become one of the most consistent and most impactful players for Minnesota’s offense since taking over as the starting quarterback for Minnesota. In four seasons as the starting quarterback, Morgan has thrown for 535-of-874 completions for 7,764 yards, 55 touchdowns, 25 interceptions, and a quarterback rating of 150.9.
Minnesota will finish the 2021 regular season at home against No. 15 Wisconsin (8-3; 6-2 in B1G play). Morgan has beaten Wisconsin only once in 2018 as the starting quarterback for Minnesota.
