Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan has an idea of how things can improve before the Gophers face Maryland on Friday night.

Talking with Minnesota’s radio voice Mike Grimm, Morgan shared the biggest lesson he took from the loss to Michigan — and how they can improve next week.

“I think our team learned a lot of things,” Morgan said. “I learned how our details need to be better and of course that starts with me. That’s something that we’re working on and something we’ll address, have addressed and will continue to get better at.”

The Gophers fell 49-24 in Week 1 and will hope to get a few key players back before facing Maryland on Friday. Morgan was 18-of-31 for 197 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the loss.

Morgan was also very complimentary of the Terrapins, who lost 43-3 to Northwestern in Week 1.

They’ve got a lot of talented guys that can do a lot of different things,” Morgan said. “We’re excited to have an opportunity to go against them. Excited for the challenge ahead, they’re great at defense we’re excited to go against another fantastic team.”

Minnesota and Maryland will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday night.
