Minnesota big man Daniel Oturu and Penn State guard Lamar Stevens were both entertaining in Wednesday night’s game between the Golden Gophers and the Nittany Lions. That entertainment spilled over into a few less-than-pleasant words in the postgame handshake line.
Minnesota topped Penn State 75-69 at Williams Arena on Wednesday evening, thanks to a big performance from Oturu, who finished the game with 26 points and 14 rebounds in the victory. Stevens ended the night with 14 points and four boards.
After the game, things got a little heated between the two stars, and some words were exchanged. Here’s the interaction between Oturu and Stevens following Wednesday night’s game:

Since that was captured on Big Ten Network, there will likely be an apology coming from both sides.
In a heated, hard-fought game, sometimes tempers flare. This time, it just so happened to spill over into the handshake line and result in some intense chirping. That should make the February 8 meeting between the two teams in State College even more interesting.
