Tony Dungy isn’t holding anything back this weekend, he’s throwing all of his support behind his alma mater.

Dungy, a former star quarterback at Minnesota and Super Bowl winning NFL head coach, has shown plenty of support for P.J. Fleck and the Golden Gophers this season, but is really fired up about this weekend’s game. No. 17 Minnesota hosts No. 4 Penn State in a game that features two undefeated B1G teams.

On Thursday, Dungy showed his support for Minnesota in a message on Twitter.

“This Saturday the University of Minnesota Gophers look for their 9th win of the season against Penn State,” Dungy wrote. “This is probably the biggest Gopher football game in the last 50 years. I’m expecting a great home crowd and a lot of noise as we continue to ‘Row The Boat.’ Go Gophers!”

Dungy, of course, was showing off his Ski-U-Mah towel in a photo, as well.

Minnesota is 8-0 this season and is looking for its first signature win of the season. A victory over Penn State, and the Gophers will likely skyrocket in the College Football Playoff rankings and will get a ton of momentum moving into games against Iowa, Northwestern and Wiscosnin.

Fleck has also coined Saturday’s game as the “biggest game TCF Bank Stadium has ever seen.” Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET.
