Everyone’s getting in on the scoring for Minnesota against Maryland.

True freshman Mar’Keise Irving scored his first career touchdown in the 3rd quarter, a 9-yard run to extend the Minnesota lead to 31-13. What a moment.

Entering Saturday’s game, Irving had 32 carries for 140 yards on the year. So far against Maryland, he has 15 carries for 105 yards as part of a 311-yard effort by the Golden Gophers running game.

It’s all hands on deck for PJ Fleck’s group on the ground. Top RBs Mo Ibrahim and Trey Potts are both out for the season with injuries, meaning other players have to step up to fill the voids. Ky Thomas leads Minnesota’s rushing attack with 139 yards and a touchdown.

The Golden Gophers lead Maryland 34-10 with a little more than 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter on ESPN2.
