Uh-oh. We might have some trouble brewing at Huntington Bank Stadium.

Minnesota — a 31-point favorite — is trailing Bowling Green 7-3 in the 2nd quarter. The Golden Gophers have managed 92 yards of total offense while the Falcons have just 65. BGSU quarterback Matt McDonald has the only touchdown of the game on a 1-yard run.

It doesn’t help that Minnesota lost its top receiver, Chris Autman-Bell, went down with an injury on the first drive of the game. He hasn’t been back on the field since, and there hasn’t been an update on the severity of the injury.

Bowling Green is 1-2 this season and is coming off a 27-10 win over Murray State in Week 3. The Falcons were picked to finish last out of 6 teams in the MAC East preseason poll after going 0-5 last season.

There’s still a whole half of football left, but Minnesota fans can’t help but squirm when they see that score. Buckle up, Gopher fans.
