Looks like former Minnesota Golden Gophers quarterback Mitch Leidner is trying to continue his football career in the state of 10,000 lakes.

Leidner was signed by the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Coming out of Minnesota, Leidner went undrafted. He attended the Baltimore Ravens’ minicamp but did not sign.

During his career with the Golden Gophers, Leidner completed 580 of 1,029 passes for 7,287 yards and 36 touchdowns.

The Vikings now have five signal callers on their roster, with four available to play since Teddy Bridgewater remains on the physically unable to perform list. The other quarterbacks are Sam Bradford, Case Keenum and Taylor Heinicke.

To make room for Leidner on the roster, the Vikings waived linebacker Darnell Sankey.
