For the second straight week, Antoine Winfield Jr. showed just how special of a player he is. And this time, he did it with a game-winning interception.

Minnesota was ahead 21-14 over Fresno State with just over a minute to play. The Gophers forced the Bulldogs into a 4th down situation, needing a touchdown to extend the game. But Fresno State didn’t get to the end zone.

Making a spectacular read, Winfield made a tremendous play on the ball, coming up with a game-winning interception.

There’s not a lot the defensive back can’t do for Minnesota.

Last week, Winfield plowed through a host of New Mexico State players on an epic punt return for a touchdown.

Minnesota improved to 2-0 this season with the win over Fresno State with one non-conference game left on the schedule. Next week, the Gophers host Miami (Ohio).
