WATCH: P.J. Fleck dedicates win over Wisconsin to state of Minnesota, Gopher fans

Rivalry week is coming to a close, but first, Minnesota had to host Wisconsin.

The Badgers entered with a 7-4 record, which meant the team knew it was headed to some bowl game already — it just didn’t know where. That wasn’t the case for the Golden Gophers.

Minnesota, at 5-6 overall, needed a win to become bowl eligible. At home, against Wisconsin, Minnesota accomplished exactly that — winning 37-15. Running back Mohamed Ibrahim led the way with 121 yards and a TD on the ground.

After the 22-point victory, launching Minnesota into the waiting process of finding out what bowl it will play in, coach P.J. Fleck talked with a reporter on the field:

Fleck, in his first season at Minnesota, finished with a 5-7 record and was just short of making a bowl game. This year has certainly been different, in a positive way.
