Being a great motivator is part of being a great college football coach. Firing a team up to play each and every Saturday is an essential element in the sport, even if it’s not technically in the job description.

There may not be a better motivator than Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck. And the speech he prepared for his team as the Gophers took on Wisconsin on Saturday is pretty solid proof.

Minnesota had lost to the Badgers in 14 straight games. The last time the Gophers had seen Paul Bunyan’s Axe in Minneapolis was in 2003. It was an ugly streak the team was desperately trying to snap.

With a 37-15 win over Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium, Minnesota was finally able to celebrate a rivalry win for the first time in over a decade. And Fleck’s speech shouldn’t be undervalued as a reason why.

Below is the video of Fleck’s incredibly motivating speech. Go ahead, try not get fired up by this:

Just incredible stuff.

Minnesota also improved its record to 6-6 on the year with the win, meaning the Gophers are bowl eligible for the first time under Fleck. They will await to hear their bowl destination, which comes on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Until then, just enjoy listening to this speech every day.
